Blaydon Rugby Club

Blaydon Rugby Club is one of the North East’s established rugby clubs, based at Crow Trees in Swalwell, Newcastle upon Tyne. Founded in 1888, the club has grown from local roots into a recognised name in North East rugby, with a proud senior setup, a strong community base, and a long record of developing players across the region.

The club has been part of life at Crow Trees since 1951 and remains a key home for rugby in Gateshead and Newcastle. From junior rugby through to senior competition, Blaydon continues to offer players, families, and supporters a welcoming place to enjoy the game.
